The Royal SA Yacht Squadron sits on and around a totally sheltered basin just inside the mouth of the Port River at Adelaideâ??s Outer Harbor.
The Squadron boasts a fully serviced marina with over 200 marina berths ranging from 10mts to 30mts, 130 hard stand berths and 40 chain moorings all with 24hr security access. Other services within the basin include a fuel berth, storage facilities, maintenance pontoons, mast crane, ramp facilities and extensive, professionally staffed slipway and maintenance yard.
Facilities for members, their guests and families are ideal. The atmosphere is relaxed, the beautiful clubhouse boasts full dining and bar facilities and a most popular outdoor quarter deck. Both overlook the tranquil views of the marina.
The Squadron has a strong heritage in Keelboat racing conducting midweek twilight racing in the summer and weekend races throughout the entire year. These events range from the around the cans type courses all the way to longer offshore events.
Cruising and Social events are also a very large part of club life at the Squadron with each year numerous events scheduled by a group of enthusiastic club members.
Other club facilities include a Racing Office, Game Fishing association headquarters, Cruising, junior sailing and training, social events, BBQ areaâ??s, ATM, sail drying area, Gate Card security access, and there is a fine library as well to mention a few.
