Hello my name is Bronwyn and I am a qualified Doula and Birth Educator.
A doula is a woman trained and experienced in childbirth who provides continuous one-on-one care and support as well as an extensive amount of unbiased information during pregnancy, labour and into the early weeks of parenting.
As your doula I will provide you and your partner with
* Ongoing physical, mental, emotional support;
* An extensive amount of information to deepen your knowledge and experience of childbirth;
* Help you to conceptualise your ideal birth;
* Help you to develop a birth plan that suits you;
* Offer you strategies to remove fear and anxiety around your upcoming birth;
* Care for you and your baby throughout your pregnancy, labour and post birth with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual support;
* Provide you during labour and birth with comfort measures such as massage, aromatherapy, homeopathics, relaxed breathing and visualisation techniques and
* Support you and your partner with advice on your baby needs and becoming new parents in the first weeks of your babys arrival.
Giving birth I believe, is the most profound, sacred and personal experience any expectant woman and her partner will ever have and is one that deserves to be honoured, cherished and respected however, wherever and with whomever she chooses to birth.
I also offer Birth Education classes to prepare you, your partner and your baby for the most optimal pregnancy and birth experience possible.
