Sound Waves Speech Pathology is a paediatric speech pathology service working with children aged 0 - 12 years with speech, language, communication and literacy difficulties. Based in Coogee, we are a mobile therapy service that treats children throughout the Eastern Suburbs.
We offer a comprehensive assessment and therapy service and we pride ourselves on our commitment and dedication to your child's communicative needs. We endeavour to embrace each of our client's individual learning strengths while at the same time nurturing their identified areas of weakness. We aim to connect with each of our clients individually and incorporate their specific interests into their therapy. As a result, we deliver therapy that is engaging, interesting and motivating.
Alison Evernden is the Director of Sound Waves Speech Pathology. She is a fully accredited and experienced Speech and Language Pathologist. With over 15 years experience, Alison has worked extensively with children aged 18 months to 18 years displaying a range of speech, language, communication and literacy impairments. Throughout Alison's career, she has worked in both the private and public sectors and also the education systems in both Australia and overseas.
Alison is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia. She continually updates her knowledge base through attendance at Professional Development events and she actively ensures her knowledge and skills are kept up to date with recent research to ensure she is delivering the most effective and efficient therapy.
