The South East Community Legal Service Inc (SECLS) provides free legal advice, information and assistance, focusing on the disadvantaged residents of the South East of South Australia. SECLS is based in Mount Gambier and visits Millicent, Naracoorte and the Mount Gambier prison on a fortnightly basis and at other locations by appointment.
Some of the areas of law that SECLS provides advice on are: Bankruptcy, Debts and debt collectors, Consumer credit, Dealing with Government departments, Police matters, Family law, Motor vehicle accidents, Centrelink matters, Tenancy, Employment matters, Administrative law, Police complaints, Discrimination, Consumer complaints and assistance with appeals for Legal Aid when it is not granted.
Paralegal assistance with bankruptcy is available.
