Welcome to Ki Martial Arts and Fitness a Martial Arts Dojang that incorporates training of the mind and body, - resulting in the development of well-balanced, supremely skilled and powerful individuals. We do this by combining the beauty and art of Martial Arts and applying them to real life scenarios. Martial Arts is a way of life, a life-long journey and we wish to share our passion to guide the next generation of Martial Artists on this wonderfully rewarding path. Our Chief Instructor, Alfio, has 27 years experience and has trained intensively, under Master Dararith Nak in the Arts of Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, Muay Thai and Boxing. Ki Martial Arts & Fitness is a member of the International Tae Kwon Do Federation, created by the Founder of Tae Kwon Do, General Choi Hong Hi.
Martial Arts was traditionally a form of self defence, however, has also evolved with a sporting aspect. Tae Kwon Do is now an Olympic event. At Ki Martial Arts and Fitness we believe it is important to expose our students to both aspects. Whilst it is important to be able to defend yourself in real life scenarios (an area in which we specialise), it is also important to get our students involved in the sporting arena, building confidence and self esteem. Alfio has successfully competed in and won numerous State and National titles.
Training at Ki Martial Arts & Fitness not only prepares you to defend yourself, but also promotes self-confidence, which in turn improves our ability to perform in stressful situations. Once you 'find your inner strength' you will be amazed with what you can accomplish. A student of Martial Arts gains more than knowledge of kicking, punching and throwing. These skills are external demonstrations of our physical abilities. More importantly, it strengthens the mind and spirit. Children benefit greatly by learning these skills as well as teaching them awareness of danger and being confident and able to remove themselves from such situations.
