THE INSTITUTE OF MODERN TAE KWON DO
Our style of TKD incorporates elements of Western boxing, Muay Thai, Close Quarter self
defense from Hap Ki Do & Jujitsu along with stretching techniques from Iyengar Yoga.
The classes are designed to increase your fitness, flexibility & improve your strength,
agility & confidence whilst keeping you fit while learning a self-defense system. The Chief
instructor, Master Ron Claassens, is a 6th Dan Black belt and the head examiner for the
Institute of Modern Tae Kwon Do. Ron has been teaching Tae Kwon Do on the Northern Beaches &
Macquarie University for over 35 years, with affiliated schools in Brookvale, North Sydney,
Waitara,Wahroonga,Turramurra,Pymble, Gordon,Marrickville, Cherrybrook & Apollo Bay in Victoria. We hold annual weekend training camps , monthly advanced black belt training sessions & often get together for social events.
We pride ourselves on being a martial art for the whole family with separate classes for
children (Little Tigers), parents & children (TKD family) & adult (high school & beyond). All our instructors are highly qualified & affiliated with the National Tae kwon do body (Sports TKD Aust )
