Michele has worked in the Natural Therapy industry since 1995.
She is qualified in Reflexology, Bowen Therapy, N.S.T., Remedial and Swedish Massage, Thermal Stone Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping System, Hortsmann Technique and Master in both Usui and Seichem Rei-ki systems.
Michele works from a clinic in Launceston City and also visits aged care clients.
As a member of the Reflexology Association of Australia, Michele has many contacts within the industry which keeps her up-to-date with the latest courses for ongoing education and research being conducted in Australia and overseas.
The availability and acceptance of alternate health therapies are increasing, with revenue forecast by Ibis World to total $3.8 billion in 2013/2014 after growing by a compound annual 4.1% over the last five years. While increasing acceptance of alternative therapies has had a strong influence on revenue, industry revenue has also grown due to the ageing population and surging private health membership. Despite growth being stifled in the aftermath of the global financial crisis due to low consumer spending, the industry has bounced back and is forecast to achieve growth of 4% in 2014/15.
