The all volunteer Brisbane Water Historical Society owns and maintains Henry Kendall Cottage c1838. Built by Peter Fagan and once home to famed Australian Poet, Henry Kendall. Next to the Cottage is the Historical Museum full of wonderful period artefacts and around the grounds are various outdoor exhibits, picnic tables and bar-b-que facilities. Open each Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 10.am to 3pm and Public Holidays, except Good Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Entry fee only $4 adult / $3 concession & children under 15. Tour groups welcome any day, by appointment.
