Founded in 2009, Sydney Piano Academy is a mobile piano tuition specialising in teaching piano to beginners of all ages. Since then, we have been dubbed as Sydney's best in beginner piano tuition. Our piano teachers are all experienced and qualified teachers with a passion for teaching the piano. We are not merely pianists, but patient, caring, and talented teachers committed to give you or your child affordable and excellent piano lessons. Best of all, we come to you at your home, at a time most convenient for you.
At Sydney Piano Academy, we have developed customised piano lessons for both adults and children who cannot read music and have no background in piano at all. We know what piano teaching methods work best for very young beginners, teens, and adults. We make sure that our piano lessons are fun and enjoyable for each of our students. At present, we already have more than a hundred students and six wonderful piano teachers.
Our selected books are derived from methods that have been tried and tested over the last decade. For 4-6 year old beginners, Sydney Piano Academy teachers use the fun and enjoyable Bastien Piano Basics Series and Faber Piano Adventures. For ages 7-10, we use the Bastien Piano Basics Series at Primer Level and theory books by either Alfred's or Lina Ng. For the older beginners, our piano teachers use Alfred's Piano Course.
