Whether you are just starting out on the violin, wanting to improve, going for exams or just playing for pleasure. Come, learn and be mentored in an one on one teaching environment to improve and refine your musical technique, expression, improvisation and performance.
Both AMEB and Suzuki methods are taught. AMEB preliminary grade through to AmusA and Suzuki Levels 1 to 10 are welcome.
I have been teaching the violin for 11 years both privately and at various primary and secondary schools including Asquith and Hornsby North Public School, St.Ives Park Primary School and Corpus Christi Primary School.
I have been playing the violin for 23 years and received both my Associate in Music Australia (AmusA in 2000) and Licentiate in Music Australia (LmusA in 2001) Diplomas as well as completing all 10 levels of Suzuki. I also received Honours in AMEB Musicianship grades 1 to 6.
I was concert master of the Knox Abbotsleigh Youth Orchestra (2001-2003) as well as co-leader of the Pan Pacific International Orchestra. I also received numerous music scholarships, awards and was a finalist in the 'Even Younger Performers Competition' on 102.5 2MBSFM radio station.
I was invited to perform at various charity concerts at the Opera House and Sydney Town Hall including the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games Concert.
So, I offer many years of experience in both performance, repertoire, technique and musical expression.
Violin lessons are either 30min, 45min or 1hr in length depending on age and playing level at a rate of $80/hr.
