Mary has had over 25 years experience as a vocalist and teacher, experienced in singing a wide variety of styles. Mary has studied with some of the best teachers in Melbourne and continually keeps up to date with new trends in teaching voice, regularly attending conferences and workshops. In September 2013 Mary attended the International Singing Teachers Conference in Brisbane. She has completed study at Victorian College of the Arts and has performed with Opera Australia. Mary also has an interest in choral singing and currently conducts The Latrobe Chorale as well as working with school choirs in the local community. Mary is very well known in the local community and regularly sings at community events, singing with The City of Traralgon Band. Mary was a guest soloist at Traralgon Carols by Candlelight in 2013 performing in front of an audience of approximately 2000 people. Mary loves working with people of all ages, her youngest student is 7 years old and her eldest at the moment is in their 60's. Her expertise in developing the style of singing that appeals to the student is shown in the wide variety of musical styles her students currently sing. From opera to music theater to country, Mary is able to assist anyone who wishes to improve their singing technique to be able to sing with freedom and confidence. Mary provides excellent one on one tuition with individual programs developed for all her students, depending on their needs. All lessons are recorded for students to review in their own time. Mary offers many opportunities for her students to perform as well as a regular newsletter with up to date information about singing and singers. Mary also provides a student website that enables her students to keep track of lessons, develop repertoire and access important information to further help develop skills.
