The Violineri is a specialist string instrument retailer and workshop that provides all repairs for violins, violas, cellos and bows. We have a wide range of instruments in stock - ranging from beginner instruments to modern Australian and fine old European instruments. Our specialist staff have experience in playing and teaching and can assist you in selecting the right instrument for you.
It is crucial to have an excellent set-up on a stringed instrument, regardless of the quality of the instrument itself. At The Violineri, we believe that any instruments sound and playability will be improved with the appropriate set-up, and thus we strive to achieve the best for every instrument that we handle. We recommend regular bow rehairs to ensure that your bow is in peak playing condition. We can also adjust the set-up to suit your individual playing needs and the tonal qualities of your instrument.
All our bow rehairs are handcrafted by Paul B. Shields and use the highest quality horse-tail hair. The hair is sorted and an appropriate thickness is used to enable each bow to perform with the greatest sensitivity, flexibility and power essential for great playing.
