Settlement Services International (SSI) is a leading not-for-profit organisation providing a range of services in the areas of humanitarian settlement, accommodation, asylum seeker assistance, foster care and disability support in NSW. SSI is funded by the NSW Government's Ageing Disability and Home Care (ADHC) Division of FACS to deliver the ALNSW Program in the ADHC Southern/ Illawarra Shoalhaven, Metro South and Metro North Regions.
Ability Links NSW (ALNSW) is a program that supports people with disability, their families and carers to live the life they want as valued and equal members of their community.
It uses a flexible and creative approach to tap into people's unique potential, and helps to promote genuine inclusion and opportunities within communities to drive real change.
ALNSW also assists community organisations and businesses to more inclusive.
ALNSW 'Linkers' work closely with people and organisations to support them to develop and realise their goals.
Linkers can work with you to:
- Discover ways to build social connections and relationships
- Source information about your local community
- Access local services
- Increase your community involvement and create new networks
This support is also available to carers, sibling and families.
ALNSW is free. There is no formal assessment process or referral that you need in order to access it.
If you think Ability Links NSW could help you or someone you know, please contact us for more information.
