The Leukaemia Youth Foundation (LYF) is a not for profit, charitable organisation established in 1992. It operates in New South Wales, Australia under Charitable Fundraising No. 13515. A Copy of the Foundation's Authority to Fundraise and Constitution are available on request. The Foundation is also a Public Benevolent Institution with tax deductibilty status for donations to the Foundation of $2.00 and over. The Foundation is also a member of the National Association of Charitable Recycling Organizations (NACRO).
The Foundation's activities include raising enough money and public awareness of leukaemia to primarily assist the research work being done by the Leukaemia Research Laboratory in the Millennium Institute at Westmead Hospital, Sydney. Our assistance has also extended to other Hospitals, such as Liverpool Hospital and Fairfield Hospital. The Foundation's activities are conducted by a number of volunteers and and are funded primarily by the revenue from the sale, to industry, of donated used clothing, cleaning cloths and rags, as well as from donations from the public.
