The Springwood Community Weight Loss Challenge is a 12 week course run within the Logan North Library Seminar Room which combines the education & support you need to achieve safe & long term weight loss with a bit of friendly, fun, community competition.
In our WL Challenges we don't just focus on what the scales say. Each wk members receive a full body analysis (don't worry, it takes a few secs & you don't need to get undressed!) which allows us to monitor, amongst other things: Weight, Body Fat %, Hydration Levels, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Metabolic Rate, Metabolic Age & Visceral (Internal) Fat Levels
It's open to anyone over 18 regardless of what weight loss method you wish to use to lose your weight.
Each participant pays a fee of $49 for the 12 wk course. Each class has around 25-30 participants with a small portion of the fees going toward the admin. costs. photocopying, healthy food samples, spot prizes etc, the rest goes into a prize fund for the 3 biggest losers (based on % body weight lost).
The prize fund* based on 25 participants, is $ 400 for 1st place, $ 300 for 2nd place & $ 150 for 3rd place.
Plus we give a prize to reward the biggest cm loser not in the top 3.

Each wk the participants meet their weight loss coaches to record their body composition measurements including metabolic age & body fat%, to listen to a talk on 1 of 12 educational topics on diet & nutrition.
Each participant also gets a free 1:1 consultation at the start of the challenge as well as weekly follow up coaching & advice from their personal coach between classes.
Huge support, inspiration, motivation and education is provided within the class environment helping participants to not only lose weight, but also empowering them to keep it off for good.
