The Warwick Foundation is the first and largest charitable organisation in Australia focused on supporting young adults (18-40 years) on their cancer journey.
The reality is young adults are the fastest growing demographic among the over 10 million new cancer diagnoses each year worldwide.
In fact, cancer is the leading disease killer of young adults.
Our programs are based on the concept of well being and are about the whole person; not just the treatment of cancer. Our work is underpinned by a social model of health where we believe in not just the absence of cancer but a return to wellness for young adults that takes into account their physical, social and mental well being.
Our mission is to bring hope, inspiration and support to young adults with cancer through advocacy, awareness and programs.
We provide:
Age Specific Support, Referral and Information that talks about things such as fertility, career interruption, finances, sexuality and relationships.
Mates in My Shoes Peer Support Program linking young cancer fighters and survivors nation wide, reducing isolation and loneliness.
Wellness Escapes Providing luxury stays in countryside accommodation giving young adults respite and a chance to recover from treatment.
Get Spoilt! We love to spoil our members by bringing them together to do fun, life affirming activities that give them a reason to connect and smile.
Warwick's Wishes Bringing light and hope to those young adults with cancer who are diagnosed as seriously ill.
