It is held every 3rd Friday of the month from October to March and is an initiative of the Werribee Chamber of Commerce. The market is situated in the WEDGE STREET PIAZZA, overlooking the Werribee River in the town centre, just off Watton Street, Werribee.(opposite Australia Post Office in the CBD) The stallholders trade in and around the old gum tree in the piazza & footpath . It is fun, has a friendly atmosphere and is in a picturesque setting. Our volunteer market team Peter, Betty and Christine aim to make Watton Street, Werribee CBD a wonderful place to visit. There is also a stage in the Piazza which many community groups such as choirs, bands, dancers can use. We have had carol singing with choirs at the christmas market, the Werribee Concert Band and school bands have played. We regularly have Tai Chi Demonstrations, belly dancing and singing bands during our market. Across the road we have the wyndham cultural centre, the wyndham art gallery, visitor information centre and local library. Our market is also in the centre of the restaurant area so lots to do after the market finishes.
