Dr Bhaswati Ghosh is a Macarthur-based female Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon who has trained in Australia, United Kingdom and India to amalgamate 15 years of experience, with expertise in management of all aspects of benign gynaecological disorders.
After obtaining her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2001, she pursued further specialist training in the UK, including training at the world renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), UK.
Bhaswati has been working in South West Sydney since 2009 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Australia and New Zealand (RANZCOG). Her fellowship in Advanced Pelvic Surgery was at Campbelltown Hospital. Her current appointments include Specialist positions at Campbelltown Public and Private Hospitals.
During her years of training, Bhaswati has been actively involved in research and teaching. She has published widely in peer reviewed international medical journals and is a conjoint lecturer at the University of Western Sydney.
Bhaswati is a fully qualified and passionate Obstetrician and consults at the high risk antenatal clinics in Campbelltown Public hospital. While she does not offer comprehensive private Obstetric care, she provides specialist antenatal care to pregnant women in a shared care setting with the public hospital.
Bhaswati promotes a relaxed and friendly environment to ensure your comfort in discussing all your health concerns and is a keen listener and firm believer in your right to autonomy.
Outside of work commitments, Bhaswati loves spending time outdoors and enjoys swimming, bush-walking and yoga. Bhaswati lives in the Macarthur area with her husband and daughter and balances the pressures of work and family.
