Dr Tom Cunneen is a fellowship trained ophthalmic surgeon. He graduated with honours from the University of Western Australia in 2003 and did his residency at Royal Perth Hospital. He trained at the prestigious Sydney Eye Hospital and completed a Corneal and Refractive Surgical fellowship at the internationally renowned Manchester Royal Eye Hospital . In addition he completed a fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery.
His research has been published widely in the international literature. He has a Master�s Degree from the University of Sydney and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. He holds consultant positions at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Fremantle Hospital where he deals with severe ocular disease and trains the next generation of ophthalmologists.
He is a member of the Australian New Zealand Society of Corneal Surgeons, Australian New Zealand Society of Oculoplastic Surgeons and treasurer of the WA branch of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO)
He specialises in cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, corneal transplant and eyelid surgery. Dr Cunneen operates privately at St John of God Subiaco and the Perth Eye Hospital.
When he is not performing eye surgery he enjoys surfing and spending time with his wife and three young daughters.
