Dr Michael Wertheim is a Comprehensive General Ophthalmic Surgeon with a special interest in Cataract Surgery. He hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the UK (FRCOphth) and also the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologits (FRANZCO). He did his basic Medical Degree (MBChB) at the University of Cape Town.
Dr Wertheim also holds a Consultant position at Fremantle Hospital and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame. He has over 30 publications in international medical journals and has authored book chapters and presented his research internationally.
Dr Wertheim operates at The Eye Surgery Foundation on private patients. He operates at Osborne Park and Bentley Hospitals on uninsured patients at no cost to the patient.
Dr Wertheim is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame and holds a Consultant Ophthalmologist position at Fremantle Hospital.
