Our standard designs reflect tradition, with detail that gives you a beautifully handcrafted Balinese hut that only a professional Balinese carpenter can master. Our huts are made from Indonesian Hardwoods Bankarai or Merbau or from another timber Palm Wood which is from the coconut palm. More info on the timbers used is available on our product info page and on the links page if you require a more detailed look at the timbers used. However, all the timbers used comply with Australian structural codes.
Our primary structural timber is Merbau (Intsia Pelembanica) and Bengkarai (Shorea Laevis Ridl), which is well known for its structural strength, dimensional stability, extreme resistance to insects or termites, fire resistance and its heartwood carries various colors (brown gray, brown yellow, brown red or black). Merbau and bengkarai woods are mainly used for heavy construction, flooring, furniture, paneling, fine joinery, decorative turnery, cabinet making, musical instruments and special items.
Our prefabricated wooden Bal?s are constructed in Bali under the guidelines and control of Australian Standards. Control of the manufacturing of the huts is overseen by an Architect whom we work very closly with.
