The Marinucci story began in Sydneys original produce market located at Haymarket in 1964. The late Albert Marinucci, an Italian immigrant who migrated to Australia in 1954 to make a better life for his family, envisaged an opportunity to supply packaging in Sydneys produce market, purchased a second hand truck and a selection of paper bags, establishing Marinucci Packaging.
To this day, Marinucci Packaging still distributes produce packaging to greengrocers, but its operations have dramatically increased and its distribution network now runs Australia wide. Core produce packaging lines have grown to in excess of 1500 products and customers range from the greengrocer to the produce pre-packer through to large Australian retailers.
The business moved into foodservice packaging in 1981 and now has a strong presence throughout Australia in this field. Branded foodservice lines include cups, plates, cutlery and gloves to name a few. In total Marinucci Packaging stock and distribute over 2000 foodservice lines to a network of customers throughout Australia.
