Paediatrics at Burnside is a child & family friendly practice, offering paediatric medical specialist & allied health care for new babies through to late teens. The practice welcomes medical, developmental & behavioural problems.
Our paediatricians include A/Prof Dr Ross Haslam, Dr Brian Conway, Dr Josie Nozza, Dr Thu Kent, Dr Rishi Agrawal, Dr Noha Soliman, Dr Kavita Rasiah. Dr Kerrie-Anne Chen practices with us as a Consultant Neurologist.
Autism assessment is offered by Speech Pathologist Alex Cole and Psychologist Karen McCarthy and several paediatricians. Speech pathology is offered by Sound Bite (Speech and Feeding), principal, Alison Spurr; Occupational Therapy is provided by Judy Slack. Smartbite Nutrition Consulting dietitians assist children, adolescents and adults.
Our main rooms are at Burnside Hospital, Toorak Gardens entered from Moore Street. A rural clinic at Maitland is supported.
Newborn care is offered by Dr Brian Conway, Dr Thu Kent, Dr Kavita Rasiah & Dr Ross Haslam at Burnside and Calvary Hospitals.
Many of our doctors combine private practice with public appointments at various major teaching hospitals.
As a private practice, fees are payable on the day of your appointment. The practice can submit a claim for Medicare rebates which are normally paid very promptly. HICAPS is available where private health rebates apply. Please phone the practice to discuss likely fees, any concerns or the making of an appointment. A medical referral is essential for a successful Medicare claim.
