It has much to offer the visitor. The town itself is in a peaceful rural setting with an old world atmosphere and contains many interesting buildings of both architectural and historical interest. Bothwell is home to Australia’s oldest golf course and the International Highland Spin-In. The area is also known for its excellent trout fishing.It is approximately one hours’ drive (76 kilometres) north-west of Hobart and two hours (140 kilometres) south of Launceston.
