The Stanley Cabin and Tourist Park offers camping and cabin accommodation on Tasmania’s northwest coast. Stanley is an hour’s drive from Burnie (78 kilometres) and one-and-a-half hours from Devonport (127 kilometres).The Park has self-contained one or two bedroom ensuite cabins with queen or double beds in the main bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom. All linen and towels are supplied. There are also powered and unpowered camping sites and grassy or paved tent sites. A backpackers' hostel, located within the Park, offers secure double or twin-share rooms. The hostel has a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom and a living area with television. The Park has a communal camper’s kitchen and gas barbecue area. There are two amenities blocks with bathroom and toilet facilities, and a separate baby bathroom. Other facilities include a laundry, television, public telephones and children’s playground. In Stanley, you can buy fresh seafood from local fishing boats at the nearby wharf. Climb the Nut, the stump of an extinct volcano, or take the chairlift to the top for fantastic views of the coast. You can sample Tasmanian food and wine in the local restaurants and cafes or explore the capes and bays of the northwest coast.
