My training philosophy involves using fundamental exercise and sport science principles to tailor to the individuals needs, manipulating a number of carefully selected training parameters (intensity, tempo, rest intervals, volume etc) to develop programs and workouts designed to meet the individual, rather than a 'one size fits all' approach that I see in a lot of gyms. My main belief is that progressive overload is the most important factor to any training program. This being said I find a lot of people do the same routine over and over and are essentially just spinning their wheels, with no real science behind their programming and without any sort of progressive overload. They then wonder why they are making no progress. I believe everybody should train the way athletes do, they are the people in the best shape and have the highest level of fitness so why not train like them? Not in terms of the countless hours they train, but the principles involved in their training. It is science based and everything they do has a plan and purpose, instead of going into a gym and doing the same things over and over again.
