We rescue and rehome hundreds of animals each year, mainly dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, ponies and horses, but will also rescue any other kind of animal from rabbits to cows as long as space and resources allow.
Our animals live in the homes of volunteers during their time with us, not in kennels, catteries or outdoor runs. That means that when you enquire about any animal from DCH, you will be given a complete assessment of it's behaviour, training and temperament from someone who has lived with the animal in a home environment.
All our companion animals are sold fully vaccinated, wormed, desexed and microchipped, and horses are wormed, vaccinated and have their feet and teeth done.
Our horses range in size, breed and education from ponies, off the track TB's and STB's, to trail horses and are suitable for experienced riders and handlers.
