"The horse, with beauty unsurpassed, strength immeasurable and grace unlike any other, still remains humble enough to carry a man upon his back." Amber Senti
Horses to me are not just a hobby they are my life and every day they prove to me they are worth it. I am a qualified EFA riding instructor and have 23 years riding experience, 11 years teaching experience and ride competitively at state level dressage.
Over the years I have been exposed to horses of every breed, temperament and education level and have not been able to find a horse I don't like and can't work with. I break in horses, reeducate and train horses and have been responsible for the training of horses to become schoolmasters at a riding school.
As an instructor I feel that the most important aspects of riding a student can learn is confidence, independence and trust in the horse and their own ability so they can allow the horse to work in balance and self-carriage and willingly without interfering with their movement.
As an instructor I teach dressage, showjumping and eventing and can offer advice in horse handling and husbandry, correct use and fitting of tack. I have a unique way of breaking down the technical aspects of riding and connection so anyone, no matter age or ability and every horse can experience the joys of harmonic riding.
When teaching I like to find the strengths of the rider, and the horse and rider combination and use that to increase the depth and the scope of the relationship whilst expanding on the already developed skills, encouraging stable, secure, balanced core posture and increasing awareness of the horse and its cues tuning the rider into the horse and the horse into the rider, to enhance the quality of connection and performance
