Alan Jupp
Alan is a qualified Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with 52 years experience across a broad range of military and civil aircraft. He is licensed on all light aircraft and helicopters and several turbine engines. His work has covered ?hands on? maintenance to management roles on both helicopters and fixed wing types, in Regular Passenger Transport to private operations, both domestic and international. He has in addition to his current Australian license held a Malaysian civil license.
Alan holds a CASA instrument to issue Certificates of Airworthiness (Import & Export) on any aircraft and has since gaining this (2005) issued over 120 in Australia and overseas. He issued the first Light Sport Aircraft CoA in Australia.
As a Certified ISO9002 Lead Auditor, Alan has performed safety/risk assessment and compliance audits for various clients domestically and overseas. These include offshore oil and gas, geo-survey, charter and RPT operators. Audits cover the aircraft themselves and the supporting maintenance organisations (Facilities, OH&S, Staff, Security), including major component overhaul/repair shops.
Alan is passionate about safety and how the aircraft's maintenance plays a significant part in the team effort required to realise both a safe flight and a profitable or "value for money" outcome, for all stakeholders.
Alan has taken this significant experience and put it to good use consulting for many private, corporate and government entities since starting his own business in late 2003 with a focus on safety, continuous improvement and maintenance best practices.
