My name is Claire Margin. I am married to a wonderful Swedish man and together we have four beautiful children who are the pride and joy of our lives. We have three sons who are 8, 6 and 5 and a daughter who is 15 months. I have been a Doula for 8 years and have supported many families throughout this special time in their lives on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. I am a Registered Nurse and have previously studied most of my Masters of Midwifery degree in 2003 before leaving during the last semester to have my first son. During my Midwifery course, I had the unforgettable opportunity to 'catch' babies and work as a student Midwife in some of Queensland's biggest hospitals. I have been lucky enough to bring this invaluable experience to my work as a Doula. I have wanted to be surrounded by pregnant women and babies for as long as I can remember. Working as a Doula has given me this gift and I am extremely passionate about what I do. I take great pride in supporting my families and watching them become parents or adding a new precious child to their family. There is nothing more special than witnessing a mother reach down and take hold of her baby or the awkwardness of a father as he holds his first born child and seeing the tears stream down his face. I love watching siblings become a big brother or sister and seeing the look on their faces as mummy's bump turns in to a tiny baby. So special is the image of grandparents meeting their grandchild and a grandmother admiring the strength of her daughter in birthing such a beautiful, perfect baby. Being a Doula is special and I love doing what I do!
