Julie is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society and has over 15 years experience practicing as a Psychologist in Australia.
She has a Degree in Behavioural Science (Psychology, Work & Health) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Psychology.
Julie has gained many life experiences in different careers prior to studying psychology. She has had an interesting working background in Nursing, Sales, Managerial roles and owner of her own Business. After experiencing and gaining knowledge from these various careers Julie developed an awareness, passion and need to assist her fellow humans, therefore decided to study Psychology. After graduating she has worked in areas of aged care, mental health, addictions, palliative care, health psychology and private practice. Some of her personal journey included caring for her aging parents plus a sibling with terminal illness. This was an extraordinarily enriching time for her and gave her a greater understanding of life / death, grief and loss in a completely different manner. Through her personal journey of this life and her degree in psychology she feels confident and believes she has the skills and compassion to work with and assist all clients presenting for help.
