Busybird Publishing originally started out in design way back in 1998. Over the years, we've evolved into a boutique publisher, with an impressive library of books behind us. If we could, we'd do nothing but work on and publish one book after another.
Amongst the books we've produced are 'Who is a Cheeky Monkey?', a fun and educational children's book (with proceeds going to Destiny Rescue); the annual fiction anthology [untitled], (submissions open to the public); and 'Journey: Experiences with Breast Cancer', (with a portion of proceeds going both to BreaCan and WHoW).
We're now working on another issue of [untitled] and a companion of 'Journey', which will be about prostate cancer. We're also hosting a competition, 'The Great Novella Search', which is exactly as it sounds -- a search for a novella, the winner to receive a standard publishing contract, and to be published digitally and in print.
We also offer a range of services aimed at helping you bring your own project to fruition. Need illustration or photography? How about an assessment or an edit? Or maybe you'd like your book laid-out for printing, or converted into an ebook? Whatever the requirement, contact us to discuss the services we can offer at prices that are competitive.
Already, we've helped a number of people produce their own books through these services. We love stories, and we love helping people make their dreams come true.
We also host a range of events. We hold workshops in writing, editing, and photography; both host and offer gallery space for exhibitions; and hold a monthly Open Mic Night, where you can read your material for a live audience, or just come to watch some great readings.
