De Bas Cabins Bed and Breakfast is situated at Pillar Valley, just 15 mins drive to the beaches at Wooli and Minnie Waters and an easy 25 min drive to Grafton, in a peaceful setting right in the heart of the Australian bush.
Pillar Valley is situated on the North Coast of NSW between the coastal range and Pillar Mountain which is a mountain with many sandstone columns / pillars giving the valley its name. Pillar Valley is home to emus, wallabies, kangaroos and many species of parrots. It is located east of Grafton and south east of Maclean on the road to Wooli and Minnie Waters.
Wooli is surrounded by water with the ocean and the Wooli river on either side of this haven for birds and wildlife. Lake Hiawatha, Lake Minnie Water and the Yuraygir National Park form the scenery on the road to Wooli. Wooli river is one of the purest waterways in Australia and is one of the best nurseries to the Sydney Rock Oyster. The river can be negotiated for approximately 20km by canoe and the lower estuary is ideal for tinnies and larger boats.
Minnie Water is a small coastal village surrounded by Yuraygir National Park with excellent walking tracks, secluded beaches, abundent wildlife and the solitary Islands Marine Park with its amazing diversity in marine life including hard and soft corals.
