Historic Bindara Station is located on the banks on the Darling River in outback New South Wales. The Station is ideally situated between the townships of Menindee and Pooncarie. And conveniently located between Mungo, Kinchega and Mootwingee National Parks. The beautiful and historic homestead, outbuildings, woolshed and cemetery are a living history that can explored firsthand. The area abounds in birds and wildlife. Guests are encouraged to share our lifestyle and gain a taste of the real outback.Explore over eight kilometres of river country which forms the boundary of Bindara Station. The river flats and sand hills are a natural haven for three species of kangaroos, emus, echidnas, turtles and many reptiles.During spring and after rains a spectacular display of native flowers and grasses may be seen.Visitors can join guided or unguided walks along the river, to the old cemetery or historic woolshed, which include focal points of interest, wildlife encounters and stories of the local history and bush experiences.
