Walk to Old Dunsborough beach from this character limestone brick holiday home with high timber ceiling, set in a tranquil location amongst winter creek reserves and overlooking native bushland. When you are not watching the kangaroos grazing, just over the back fence, you can walk to the Country Club and beach, or drive the short distance to the wineries, art galleries and surf beaches of Yallingup and Margaret River.
Freebridge Glades is comfortably furnished in a modern but relaxed style. The master bedroom and second bedroom have queen-sized beds; the third bedroom has two king single beds and a single roll-out bed. The living room has comfortable leather lounges and dining suite, and the kitchen is well equipped. Reverse cycle air conditioning and high ceilings are cool in summer, and a wood stove plus heaters in all the bedrooms make it cosy in winter. The bathroom is semi-en suite (access direct to master bedroom and also to passage). The house is split-level, with the bedrooms at entry level then a few steps up to the living room at kangaroo level! Outside there are barbecue, table and reclining chairs.
Freebridge Glades is named for its position in Freebridge Place, one of the quiet and relaxing streets in the Country Club Estate next to the Old Dunsborough reserve. From here you can stroll to the beach to swim in the calm waters of Geographe Bay, or take a longer walk to the Meelup Regional Reserve. With open bushland all the way from the back fence to Cape Naturaliste, kangaroos and many birds (sixty species, it is claimed) are constant visitors to Freebridge Glades.
Dunsborough is centrally located for both surf beaches and calm swimming beaches, snorkelling, scuba diving, boating, fishing. Ashore there is horseriding, golfing, caving, and wine tasting. You can choose coffee or an excellent breakfast at casual cafes, or dining at international standard restaurants, the local pub, or the popular fish-&-chip shop, or visit well-stocked supermarkets.
