Lolli Redini Restaurant has come to be regarded as the Matriarch restaurant of the Orange district and has been duly recognised by winning six consecutive Sydney Morning Herald chefs’ hats and numerous Restaurant and Caterers Association awards. The restaurant, a collaborative family project, was established in 2001. Named after friend GraziaLolliRedini, from the Tuscan village of San Gimignano, the restaurant serves contemporary Italian and French influenced food. Chef Simonn Hawke serves contemporary food and focuses on using regional produce where possible. The menu is small with the emphasis being on quality rather than quantity and changes frequently. Enjoy the magnificent setting of the century-old Mayfield Vineyard School House. The restaurant and cellar door is a charming, 100 year old school house constructed of pise (rammed earth walls), has a magnificent outlook to the Mayfield Vineyard. The four hundred acre vineyard estate surrounds the historic homestead which is located on the Icely Road leading to where gold was first discovered in Australia in 1851.
