The Hop Factory is a locally owned family business & is the end product of a 10 year dream to operate a genuine craft beer cafe by the Jeffrey family. Licensee Matt Jeffrey has experience to burn in the craft beer industry and is passionate for the need for Newcastle to have second to none choice when it comes to micro brewed beer. Matt has previously had high involvement in the broad range of high quality craft beers available at East Maitland Cellars, Warners at the Bay and The Prince of Wales Hotel.
The focus is not just on the beer - quality beer needs to be suitably paired with appropriate food, whether that be a burger, a traditional fish meal or a delicious chocolate pudding to name a few of the choices on offer.
The Hop Factory also has a strong portfolio of Hunter Valley wines, a broad selection of ciders and ginger beers as well as a constantly changing range of bottled beers.
The beer range and menu will change so that there is always a new experience on offer with each visit.
