Bistro Ortolan has relocated and is now located on Bayswater Road, Potts Point.
Bistro Ortolan serves a Prix-fix menu (choice of 2 or 3 courses) Tuesday to Thursday, and degustation is available all the time Tuesday to Saturday.
In addition, our new venue has a beautiful private dining room that can accommodate up to 16 people, and other areas that can be made private for smaller groups.
History:
Bistro Ortolan was launched in 2006 in the heart of Leichhardt and soon after received its first Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide hat in 2008, followed by two hats in 2009, 2010 and 2011, 2012.
The menu features contemporary French food, combining traditional techniques with fresh flavours, such as the crepinette of pink snapper with seared Hervey Bay scallops, foie gras butter and baby greens. To match the meals, the wine list has been chosen with accessibility in mind, including plenty of French wines at good prices.
True to his origins, Chef Paul McGrath insists on top quality ingredients favouring those that are organic or bio-dynamic. Together Paul and Jenny present a memorable dining experience of contemporary French fare.
