Everything is so perfectly French, from the red leather lounges and crisp white linen tablecloths, to the marble bar top and the tempting selection of French drinks on display.
The menu at Montrachet is a delight to read, with all dishes written in French and an English description offered.
This French brasserie pops up on every ultimate list, year in, year out. And with good reason – it’s the best restaurant in Brisbane. While the menu is jampacked with flavoursome dishes, the twice-baked crab and Gruyère soufflé is a particular highlight. Red leather banquettes and crisp, white-linen tables set the mood for a little slice of Paris. Montrachet also features a stunning winelist, backed by the fact owner, Thierry Galichet, travels to France each year to buy the Burgundies on offer.
