It is truly a taste of Thailand, a gentle and polite oasis in busy Hindley St. Most of the menu is light and healthy fare with lively Thai salads a speciality of the house. The larb also is renown. Mekong Thai soups, which include an almost addictive laksa, are tangy and chilli is not compulsory. In fact, all dishes are clearly marked with their chilli gradients and the menu ranges from rustic village fare, such as the fiery prawn or chicken sambal minang to classic phad thai noodles, Thai curries and even a spicy lamb rendang. Vegetarians are offered a special menu and there also are banquets at $24 each for three or more people.
