Guy Grossi, chef, media personality and owner of some of some of Melbourne's most iconic restaurants including Grossi Florentino and Ombra, has opened The Merchant, a Venetian-inspired restaurant that pays tribute to his rich heritage.
An informal and welcoming osteria, the open spaces allow for all kinds of social gatherings from casual get-togethers to family celebrations.
Dishes laden with Italian delights designed to share are delivered with a flourish to the table including favourites such as polenta with duck ragu, seared tuna carpaccio and the char-grilled lamb cutlets.
