Jake Dominey is a consummate drummer. Jake has studied a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Performance and Education) at the prestigious Southern Cross University under renowned drummer and educator David Sanders.
As a professional musician Jake has written, recorded and performed with a variety of musicians, including Clocks and Dice, A Little Province, Claire Ann Taylor, Andrea Soler and Grammy-nominated artist Toni Childs. This year he toured Nepal with Toni Childs and her band.
Jake is the Head Teacher at the Jake Dominey Drum School on the North Coast, NSW. The school offers a number of programs including individual lessons, group drum kit lessons, group percussion lessons and drum corps. All programs are applicable to all levels of abilities. Courses are offered at studios in Lennox Head and Lismore as well as through schools, education institutions.

The Drum School
Jake Dominey Drum School is based on the North Coast, NSW. The main teaching studio is based in Lennox Head, with courses also being taught around the North Coast including Lismore, Ballina and Byron Bay. Specialist courses focus on creating a musical experience for students. Lessons involve collaboration, independently creating and responding to music, and developing aural skills by identifying rhythm, pitch, harmony, timbre, expressive techniques and texture in music. Students will experience music from a range of cultures, exploring music both within and beyond their community.
Students will gain strong industry links and become equipped to pursue careers in the music industry.
