One of the courses available is the EWPA 's Duty of care Yellow Card program which is a nationally recognised industry training program developed by the EWPA in consultation with members and industry. The intention of this program is to assist operators, employers, equipment owners and manufactures in complying with the WH&S regulation.
The EWPA Yellow Card provides evidence that the operators have been trained in specific type of EWP under consideration.
This is a requirement under the Australian Standards AS2550.10 'Safe use of MEWP's' that only a competent operator be involved in the operation of MEWP.
The supplier, employer and user all have documentary evidence that the required duty of care has been met or exceeded.
On successful completion of a Theory and Practical Assessment a Certificate of Completion (endorsed by the Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia) is issued at the end of the session.
The five main types of EWP listed on the Yellow Card, with those not applicable deleted by the Trainer before issue.
