Daisy Bank Cottages are self-contained heritage cottages at Richmond, southeast Tasmania. Richmond is a 30-minute drive from Hobart and 20 minutes from Hobart airport.The conjoined Daisy Bank Cottages have been converted from an 1830s sandstone barn. Both cottages have a loft bedroom with one queen and one single bed. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and provisions for a cooked breakfast are supplied. The separate bathroom has a shower and spa bath. The living area has a wood heater and the cottages have views of the surrounding farmland and village of Richmond.Daisy Bank Farm is a 1700-acre working farm. Pack a picnic and explore the property, or take a walk around the village – famous for its Georgian architecture. Discover the convict heritage of the town, including the Richmond Goal and Australia’s oldest Catholic church and bridge. Browse the galleries and craft shops and see work by Tasmanian artisans or sample fresh local produce in a café or restaurant. Richmond is located in the Coal River Valley, one of Tasmania's wine-producing areas. You can take a drive through the countryside and taste some of Tasmania’s fine cool climate wines at the cellar door.
