WHAT IS FLOATING?
Floating is all about NOTHING: no gravity, sound or light.
You spend 60 minutes lying quietly in the dark, in shallow warm water which contains 700kg of Epsom salt; the water is so dense that you float effortlessly. The water is heated to body temperature, which makes you lose track of where your body ends and the water begins. Your ears stay just below the surface and the pods are insulated, removing any noise.
After you shut the door and turn off the light, you float in total darkness. During your float the outside world is gone, and amazing things happen. Your mind is free to mull things over without distraction, your brain pumps dopamine and endorphins, and your body gets to rest, destress, and heal.
