The Hills Rugby Club has been active for over fifty years and is located in the heart of the Hills Shire. The club is affiliated with Parramatta District Junior Rugby (Mini's U6 to U9) and Sydney Junior Rugby Union (Juniors U10 - U17/18). The Junior teams play their matches in the Metropolitan Western Zone comprising teams in each age groups from Eastwood, Penrith, Parramatta and West Harbour districts. The 2011 season promises to be an outstanding one. The Seniors (Sub District) will be fielding the full complement of teams (5) plus Colts and the Golden Oldies aka "Widowmakers" are scheduled to make a few appearances too.
Under 6s and Under 7s play a "touch" version of Rugby with Under 6s participating in a program which allows the to perform 50% skills development and 50% game time.
Under 8s & Under9s play in a modified "tackle" form of the game which allows the evolution to tackle but retains maximum participation and safety.
Under 10s,11s & 12s play under slightly modified rules to enjoy a safer games.
Under 13s & Up play under international laws.
