Cowandilla Social Club (also known as Tap's Bar) is located in Richmond, South Australia, a 10 minute drive out of the CBD. Everyone is welcome, including children under parent supervision.
Features/facilities include, no pokies, outdoor smoking area, air conditioned/heated, 2 pool tables, 3 dart boards, Big Tony Poker Machine, BBQ facilities, kitchen facilities (including 2 bain maries, microwave oven/stove and pie warmer. seats 130, Melbourne Cup sweeps, headquarters for the Tri and Cruiser Clubs. Technical equipment includes big screen projector for DVD or VCR and can be connected to supplied laptop, 3 TVs, own speaker system connected to amp, DVD, VCR and two cordless microphones.
The club is not only open for day to day business, but can also accommodate a wide range of public and private functions. Some of our public functions include Karaoke, Cash 'n' Grog Day, 888 Poker League (Tuesday's and Sunday's) and live bands.
We also hire out the venue for a number of private functions including birthdays, wedding receptions, Buck's/Hen's Nights, dinner dances and plenty more. The club is only hired out on the basis that the bar facilities are used. There is a $250 hire fee, which includes a $50 deposit which is required to secure the booking. We also ask for a $250 security bond, which will be returned once it has been established that no damage was caused to the premises during your function.
