With 24 benches, all of which are moveable to allow for positional shooting ie: standing, sitting etc. Rifles of all types are welcome, from air rifles to big game rifles. Target frames can be placed at 25, 50, 100, 150 or 200 metres, and rimfire metallic silhouettes stands extend out to 200 metres. A wide selection of targets is available on site, from fun plinking targets, to specialized competition or sighting in formats.
Shotgun facilities can be set up on any of these days for practice or competition.
Rifles
1) General sighting in and practice with all types of rifles. Assistance with sighting-in and scope adjustment freely available.
2) Competitions:
- Positional shooting, (standing, kneeling, sitting etc.)
- Benchrest, (precision shooting, with the rifle resting on sandbags and stands)
- Rimfire Metallic Silhouette, (knocking over steel animals with a .22lr rifle)
- Military Rifle, (using standard ex-military rifles, usually open sighted)
3) Safety Instruction/Qualification:
Groups can book the Range as a safe, supervised venue for job-related firearm qualification, or as an excursion for social groups. No licenses are required, and club firearms are available to those without their own rifles, but who would like to enjoy the challenges of target shooting.
