Mt Kaputar National Park is 52 kilometres east of Narrabri and is a 1512 metre summit where on a clear day the 360 degree views could show up to a tenth of New South Wales. A guide for the marked walking tracks is available at the Visitor Information Centre or National Parks and wildlife.Two camping grounds are equipped with hot showers, barbecues and fresh water, no caravans allowed in the park - box trailers permitted.Activities include bushwalking, abseiling, birdwatching and rock climbing. The perfect place to enjoy some of Australia's most beautiful wildlife and flora. The Kaputar National Park Cabins are well equipped and can be booked up to six months ahead, bookings can be made through National Parks and Wildlife.
