Traditional, qualified Stonemasons building quality structures. Joe Leahy and Staff continues a tradition in stonemasonry that began with the arrival of our Great, Great Grandfather John Phillip Sheahan from Ireland in 1838. John Phillip's structures have stood the test of time, some of which can still be seen as functional buildings in Jugiong just west of Canberra. We are committed to maintaining these skills and knowledge which are now being passed onto a sixth generation.
At Joe Leahy and Staff we work really hard to develop our skills and knowledge as Stonemasons. We have a well established training programme for Apprentices in the ACT who complete their Certificate 3 in Stonemasonry. It doesn?t stop there. We continue to strive for improvement as Trades people throughout our working lives.
It is therefore very disappointing to us when we lose work to unqualified and incompetent competitors. Make sure the Stonemason you engage has a current NSW Government Fair Trading Contractor Licence even if you live in the ACT.
